Here is my promised (short) review of one of the books already: Witch by Lisa Lister.

The only way to read this book is to skip the first 105 pages and go straight to the ‘practical’ part which was quite interesting for me as someone who didn’t know anything about the topic. It talks about setting up altars, writing spells, the meaning of colors and how to connect to the flow of nature. The first 100 pages are just feminist ramblings, repeated use of the word pussy-power and not-so-hidden promotion of Lister’s other book. It just said nothing useful. I also heard of people more experienced in this stuff that its very exclusive (guys can’t be witches, trans people can’t be witches) and is more like propaganda. So in that case, even though the second half is a bit more interesting, I’m sure there’s way better and more interesting books on the practical part of moder witchcraft if you’re interested in this stuff. I, for one, I’m looking forward to reading the book in the first picture!

  • “you! you’re the asshole who gave me this fucking tattoo that i’ve had to keep covered my whole god damn life do you know how fucking annoying it was to wear long sleeves for my entire existence like what the fuck could you not drop your phone without swearing?” you ranted to your soulmate
  • you finally looked at him properly and were shocked bc god damn, he was attractive
  • “imagine having that whole speech written on your arms in all caps” he said with a grin and rolled up his sleeve
  • “i… did not consider that” you said sheepishly. “sorry about your phone, i can pay to get you a new one”
  • “it’s really fine, i’m just happy to meet you finally. i’m jeno”
  • “y/n” you said and stuck out your hand
  • jeno shook your hand and pulled back your sleeve to see your tattoo
  • “we should probably work on the swearing thing huh” he laughed
  • “yeah, maybe” he shrugged, “or we could go get boba and then get to know each other”
  • “i’d really fucking like that jeno”
  • “yeah no,  we should definitely work on the swearing,” jeno said as he grabbed your hand and dragged you down the street with him
